Description:
Learn the principles of safe and responsible firearms handling, basic wildlife management concepts, hunter responsibility, and basic outdoor survival. Study the history of firearms and how to clean, care for, and safely store them, with a brief introduction to handguns and archery. Parents and guardians must attend the first class with their child and are encouraged to attend all classes. You must have a Firearms Training Certificate to purchase a Minnesota archery or firearm hunting license. Certificates are recognized by all states and provinces that require hunter safety education. An additional $7.50 will be due when state paperwork is submitted. In-person material pickup & completion of state paperwork is 4/7 from 4-6 pm at the Red Wing ELC, 442 Guernsey Lane, Red Wing. Field Day will be held on 5/3. More information will be given during class on the 28th.
